The Kia Soul EV Smitten Ice Cream Truck will be officially presented to the public, for the first time, during the 2014 SEMA Motor Show.
The South Korean based automaker Kia has officially announced its plans to pull the wraps off the so-called Soul EV Smitten Ice Cream Truck during the 2014 SEMA Motor Show, in a premiere. According to the car manufacturer, the model in question will be coming with a red and white exterior finish, along with a roof mounted spoiler and some retro inspired wheels. The vehicle will also get a bespoke interior design, along with a matching trailer.
Under the hood, the Kia Soul EV Smitten Ice Cream Truck is believed to pack the same electric motor, fed by the 27 kWh lithium ion polymer battery, producing a total output of 109 HP (81 kW) and 284 Nm (210 lb-ft) of torque. This is allowing the “green” car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in less than 12 seconds and to be driven up to 93 miles (150 km) on a single charge. More details on it are limited for the moment and will be announced at SEMA, in a couple of weeks, at the beginning of November.
