Kia Soul EV to be launched next year in the U.S. image

Kia has recently announced its plans to introduce the Soul EV to the United States, where the model will make its market debut sometimes next year.

The Kia Soul EV is getting ready to take on a completely new market, the United States, as the carmaker has recently confirmed its launch for 2014. The model in question is expected to gain new customers for the brand so expectation stands at a high level.

“The Soul has always been a terrific choice for drivers in urban environments, and the all-new version’s blend of technology, refinement, style, improved dynamics and value has allowed us to create a car that is as efficient as it is fun to drive”, said the executive director of product planning, Orth Hedrick.

The Kia Soul EV has been already spied testing on a couple of occasions but despite the heavy camouflage found on its body, we can easily see the revised grille with the integrated charging port. The model in question is believed to make the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in less than 12 seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 140 km/h (87 mph). The total range of the model will stand at 200 km (124 miles).
