The South Korean based automaker Kia has been recently spotted while testing the facelifted version of the Sportage in hot weather climate.
After Hyundai has introduced the facelifted version of the iX35, or the Tucson as it is known in some markets, time has come for the other carmaker, Kia, to focus on developing an upgraded version of the Sportage SUV. The facelifted Kia Sportage SUV seems to be close to hitting the showrooms, as the images posted below are “suggesting”, considering the fact that they have been taken on public roads, across the United States, by our spy photographers.
The 2014 Kia Sportage facelift will get new front and rear fascias, with the usual upgrades being focused around the headlights and taillights, or on the front grille. Besides this, the “new” Kia Sportage will also receive improved infotainment systems, FlexSteer and its CRDi and GDi engine lineup will become friendlier to the environment. Additional details on the facelifted Kia Sportage are limited for the moment and will probably be announced sometimes next year, when the model is expected to make its way onto the market.
