Kia teases 2017 Cadenza, ready to hit showrooms in 2016 image

South Korean automaker Kia Motors has just released its latest teaser renderings depicting the upcoming new generation of the Cadenza model.

The new generation will reach dealerships sometimes next year, with the 2017 Cadenza now treated to the brand’s latest design language that deploys sportier styling, with the company calling it a “bold reinterpretation of the current model’s popular design.” No further details on the matter have been released yet but as much as we can see from the associated pictures we’ll get a dynamic front end with the signature tiger-nose grille and sweptback angular headlamps. There are numerous “force” lines running the length of the model with a steep windscreen and now the traditional LED foglamps. In the back customers will be treated to wraparound taillights, a dual exhaust system and a trunk with integrated spoiler.

Fortunately the South Koreans have not left out the interior as is the case with most teasers, the rendering showing how the Cadenza jumps from generation to generation and treats us to more upscale materials and a rakish design. We can also see some wood trim, metallic touches and some leather thrown in for good measure to adorn the center console and doors. We are also expecting the Cadenza to sport the latest update of the company’s infotainment system. No technical details are known yet but speculation points towards a 3.3-liter V6 delivering more than 293 bhp (218 kW) and 255 lb-ft (345 Nm) of torque. A rumored affordable option could have a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine as well.
