Kia has recently announced its intention to introduce the Track’ster Concept at the upcoming 2012 Australian International Motor Show in Sydney.
After it was officially presented to the public back in February during the 2012 Chicago Motor Show, the Kia Track’ster Concept is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the South Korean based automaker announcing its Australian debut too during the 2012 Sydney Motor Show. The local media is speculating that the Kia Track’ster Concept might five birth to a hot hatch version on the new Soul generation, once the model will hit the market in 2014.
The Kia Track’ster Concept is 127 mm wider than the Soul and it has a 254 mm longer wheelbase. Power to the model is provided by a 2.0 liter inline four-cylinder engine, which is producing a total output of 250 HP (186 kW), sent to the all-wheel drive through a six-speed manual transmission. Kia didn’t announce any official plans to put the Track’ster concept into production but if the model will hit the assembly line it’s expected to be launched sometimes in 2014.
