Koenigsegg has recently announced that the Agera R has been launched in the United States but its price list currently remains unknown.
The Koenigsegg Agera R has been officially presented to the public in a world premiere earlier this year during the 2012 Geneva Motor Show and now the supercar is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the company announcing its U.S. debut. The Koenigsegg Agera R is weighing just 2,932 lbs and it’s coming with one of the highest power-to-weight ratios in the industry at 790 HP per ton, which is very impressive, considering the fact that the original Bugatti Veyron only had 440 HP per ton.
The Koenigsegg Agera R is powered by a 5.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 1,115 horsepower and a peak torque of 885 lb-ft when running on E85 fuel but if you will fill the tank with 95 octane gasoline you will only get 940 HP and 811 lb-ft of torque. The Koenigsegg Agera R can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.9, before reaching a top speed of 240 mph. The price list of the supercar in the United States will be announced later on.
