Koenigsegg claims their new Agera RS has reached sold out status image

Sweden has its own automotive fans and while the sector has had its ups and downs in the Nordic country, there’s no denying there are marvelous things coming from up there.

We’re not talking here only about the likes of Saab or Volvo – but also about the one exotic manufacturer we usually talk about when referencing Sweden: Koenigsegg. The carmaker has now announced it has managed to reach sold out status for its entire production run of the Agera RS series in ten months. The supercar from Sweden was first introduced just last year during the Geneva Motor Show in March – which was also the place where the first customer car was delivered to the rightful owner. The Agera RS has had a production run of 25 units and given the exotic level of the product we’re pretty proud of Koenigsegg’s feat – since it only needed around ten months to complete the task, the fastest one to date for the small company.

The V8 powered Agera RS is a combination of the traits found inside and outside the Agera R and S models and this one reached customers in equally exotic places such as Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE, while also taking orders from the US, Canda, the UK, Japan or China. “I am extremely proud of the Agera RS program,” said Christian von Koenigsegg. “The RS is a classic Koenigsegg, with all the core values and features that the Koenigsegg brand stands for. The performance, road feel and responsiveness are truly amazing and the level of technical sophistication is second to none. It is a true ‘pinnacle’ project that has been wholly embraced by our customers and friends.”
