The Swedish exotic brand decided the Monterey Car Week was a great fan-meeting opportunity to introduce newly developed components for the Regera and even factory-fresh styling upgrades for the older CCX.
The company displayed their newly enhanced fleet both at the The Quail, A Motorsports Reunion and during the more traditional and renowned Pebble Beach event. The new Regera Aero Package comes with new front and rear winglets to enhance the aerodynamic capabilities of the high-speed hybrid, while a deeper front spoiler also works wonders for the styling. According to the high-end car boutique, the new components increase the body’s maximum downforce to 849 pounds (385 kilograms), up from the regular 683 pounds (310 kg). The sharp additions are also lending an even more aggressive stance, and the unit brought to Monterey is actually the first Regera reaching a home in the United States.
The new parts only impact the aero and design, with the Regera still making use of the same 5.0-liter biturbo V8 coupled with three electric motors and delivery reaches 1,500 horsepower (1,119 kilowatts) and 1,475 pound-feet (2,000 Newton-meters) of torque. That’s enough to cross the 248 miles per hour (400 kilometers per hour) mark in an incredible time of just 20 seconds. In addition, Koenigsegg also catered for previous clients – introducing the Ghost Package for the CCX range – coming with upgrades such as a rear diffuser and carbon fiber wheels snatched from the Agera, along with side mirrors from the Agera RS. More so, there’s a bigger front splitter and a twin-deck rear wing, as well as a new exhaust system.
