Koenigsegg has released a new teaser image with the Regera ahead of the model’s public debut which will be taking place at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
The second teaser image with the upcoming Regera megacar has been released by Koenigsegg recently. The model in question will be following the same footsteps as its already available brother, the One:1, and the fact that it has been called a megacar means that it will have at least 1 megawatt, which is the equivalent of 1,341 HP (986 kW). The new teaser image is basically a sketch which is slightly revealing the front fascia, with the aggressive front bumper, the stylish headlight and that’s about all we can spot from it.
Rumor has it that the “Reg” from its name is coming as a reference to the regenerative braking system, which will probably be fitted onto it. As far as performance goes, we are not sure if it will be matching the 1,341 HP (986 kW) and 1,371 Nm (1,011 lb-ft) of torque of the One:1 or if it will be even more powerful than the world’s first megacar, but as a small reminder, the already available model can reach 400 km/h (248 mph) in approximately 20 seconds. This will be a tough job for the next Bugatti Veyron generation. More details on the Koenigsegg Regera are limited for the moment and will most likely be released at the Swiss automotive event, which will be opening its gates for the media on the 3rd of March.
