Austrian motorcycle builder KTM will bring the 2011 X-Bow in U.S. For the basic “Street” model, expect to lay down a whopping $88,500 greenbacks.
The 1500-pound car has a four-cylinder Audi engine offering 237 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 228 pound-feet of torque between 2200 and 4000 rpm. This machine is so great that even Audi considered selling a version of the X-Bow under its own brand, but later dropped the idea.
Originally, KTM planned a production of 500 units per year, however, the company has increased production to 1,000 cars a year and has built a new plant near Graz due to high demand.
For those who need more adrenaline, KTM has the Clubsport, but this one will cost you $103,500. And if this is not enough, you can choose the Superlight or the GT4. ($134,500 or $139,000 )
“The North American specification KTM X-Bow is classified as a special construction vehicle by the EPA, NHSTA and state departments of transportation. As such, it is sold without engine and transaxle,” British Racing Group says.
