The North American debut of the Fiat 500X has been made recently during the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show, where the model has been brought in a premiere.
The 2016 Fiat 500X is getting ready to be introduced in North America. The model in question will go on sale next year and it will be offered in five different trim levels while the Trekking and the Trekking Plus will be easily distinguishable thanks to the satin silver accents and the rugged bumpers. The cheapest versions of the Fiat 500X will come with standard features such as the 4-speaker audio system, air-con or body-color trim.
On higher end variants, Fiat will be offering the Uconnect infotainment system, which has a 5-inch or a 6.5-inch display, the leather upholstery or the heated front seats. Across the United States, the Fiat 500X will come with two different engines, the 1.4 liter MultiAir Turbo, offered as an entry-level, producing 160 HP (119 kW) and 249 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque, along with a 2.4 liter Tigershark MultiAir2, with 180 HP (134 kW) and 237 Nm (175 lb-ft) of torque. The first one will be connected to a 6-speed manual gearbox while the second one to a 9-speed automatic. FWD will be optional.
