The German based automaker Audi has unveiled the A6, A7, A8 and Q5 models, equipped with the 3.0 liter V6 TDI engine, during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Audi has taken a first step into launching four new models in the United States, the A6, the A7, the A8 and the Q5, all of them equipped with the 3.0 liter V6 TDI diesel engine, by unveiling them during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. Audi says that the A6 3.0 V6 TDI is getting various driver assistance systems like the head-up display, the night vision, the pre sense plus and much more.
“Owners of Audi TDI engines have helped save over 4 million gallons of gasoline, or the equivalent of more than 240,000 barrels of foreign oil, since the introduction of Audi TDI to the U.S. in 2009. And, TDI technology delivers better fuel efficiency without sacrificing performance”, said the president of Audi of America, Scott Keogh.
The A7 3.0 V6 TDI, along with the Q5 3.0 TDI, have also been unveiled at the same automotive event and the crossover is now getting its fourth engine variant, after the four-cylinder 2.0 liter turbo, the 3.0 liter V6 turbo petrol and the Q5 Hybrid. The last one unveiled was the flagship 2014 Audi A8 3.0 V6 TDI, which will be launched next spring. The carmaker says that the model will be launched next spring and thanks to its 240 HP, it will sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 6.4 seconds and it will return an estimated 24/36 mpg in city/highway.
