The 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show has seen the debut of the Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo.
In case you were missing out on brand new Vision Gran Turismo concept cars, the North American based automaker Chevrolet has officially pulled the wraps off a brand new one. The model in question is called the Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo and it has been officially presented to the public, in a premiere, during the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
“This concept is an audacious and ambitious vision – and one that demonstrates to a new audience how Chevy’s engineering and design teams challenge norms and explore the technologies of tomorrow. It also an ode to a unique partnership that pioneered ground-breaking technologies that are used today on the track and the street”, said Clay dean, the GM executive director of advance design.
The brand new Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo has been developed by Chevy and Chaparral and it is coming with a composite chassis and an extremely aerodynamic body. This apparently has laser-based propulsion, mid-mounted, and this is fed by lithium-ion batteries and an air-powered generator. The total output produced stands at 900 HP (671 kW) and this is translated into a 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) sprint made in 1.5s and a top speed of 240 mph (386 km/h).
