The new flagship sedan signed by Acura, the 2014 RLX, has been officially presented to the public during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2014 Acura RLX has a conservative styling and it’s coming with “Jewel-Eye” LED headlights, with a prominent grille, acoustic glass, integrated turn signals into the side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers and 18-inch aluminum wheels. The interior design feels sporty and luxurious and it’s getting leather seats, two LCD displays, one for the Navigation system, 8-inch in size, and one for the On-Demand Multi-Use Display, 7-inch in size. Other features include the sunroof, tri-zone climate control, XM radio, HD Radio, Pandora, 10-speaker ELS audio system, AUX, USB and more.
At the time of its launch, the 2014 Acura RLX will get a 3.5 liter V6 engine under its hood, which is producing a total output of 310 BHP (231 kW) and 272 lb-ft of torque (368 Nm). The unit comes equipped with the Cylinder Management, which can deactivate three cylinders when they aren’t needed. The model can return 20 / 31 / 24 mpg in city / highway / combined. Prices for the 2014 Acura RLX will be announced close to its launch, scheduled for spring 2013.
