
The 2014 Kia Forte is being placed into the spotlights once again and after announcing its debut for the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show a couple of weeks ago, the South Korean based automaker has recently pulled the wraps off the model. According to the carmaker, the 2014 Kia Forte is getting distinctive taillights, a sweeping shoulder line, a prominent front grille, LED infused headlights, a rakish windscreen and some chrome accents. The cabin of the model has received a new design and high quality materials.
The 2014 Kia Forte, which is basically a rebadged version of the K3, will adopt a 1.8 liter engine, which is producing a total output of 148 HP and 131 lb-ft of torque, along with a 2.0 liter unit generating 173 HP and 154 lb-ft of torque. The units will be mated to six-speed manual and automatic transmissions. In other markets, the 2014 Kia Forte is getting a 1.6 liter four-cylinder engine, generating 140 HP and 123 lb-ft of torque. Additional details on the 2014 Kia Forte are limited for the moment and will be announced close to its launch.
