The Audi Prologue Concept, previously known as the A9 Concept, has been officially presented to the public, in a premiere, during the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Audi has officially pulled the wraps off its newest and one of the most anticipated vehicles yet, the Prologue. This is a concept car aimed to offer a preview of the future styling design of the company. The model in question has an aggressive design with a wider and lower grille, which is flanked by the headlights using the Matrix laser technology.
The Audi Prologue Concept stands at 16.7 feet and it has sculpted hoods, wide fenders, gloss black front spoilers and 22-inch alloy wheels. The interior design of the one-off car has a lean and clean horizontal dashboard display with touch screen on the length of the dash and on the center console. Some of the features found inside it include the climate control system, automatically adjustable driver’s seat which is using the “butler” feature on the cellphone and so on.
Power to the one-off vehicle is being provided by a 4.0 liter TFSI V8 engine. This is capable of producing no less than 605 HP (445 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is connected to an 8-speed tiptronic transmission, powering the all-wheel drive system. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is made in 3.7 seconds. The model is believed to give birth to a production vehicle which will compete against the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe or the Maserati GranTurismo, in 1-2 years. This will be known as the A9.
