The newest range topping versions of the X5 and X6, the X5 M and the X6 M, have been officially presented to the public during the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
After being officially unveiled about three weeks ago, the brand new BMW X5 M and X6 M have been finally introduced in L.A., in a world premiere. The two vehicles have received an aerodynamic body kit which is adding the aggressive front bumper, the revised front grille, the aerodynamic side skirts, the different side mirror caps, distinctive rear bumper, ventilated front fenders and a rear diffuser, in the cabin. The models have also received 21-inch lightweight alloy wheels, with Michelin Pilot Super Sport UHP tires and a 4-tailpipe exhaust system.
The sporty styling is being continued in the cabin too where we can find the M-branded door sill plates, aluminum trim, Alcantara roof liner, leather wrapped dashboard, revised instrument cluster, M wrapped steering wheel, Harman Kardon audio system and so on. Power to the two vehicles is being provided by a 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 engine, which has been rated at 567 HP 423 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque, connected to an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is made in 4.2s and top speed stands at 250 km/h (155 mph), electronically limited. Find out more about the new X5 M and X6 M here.
