The newest addition to the Mazda lineup is called the CX-3 and it is an entry-level crossover which has been officially presented to the public at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
In case you fancy the Mazda CX-5 but you would like something smaller, a direct competitor for popular models such as the Nissan Juke, the Renault Captur, the Opel Mokka, Ford EcoSport, Chevrolet Trax, Peugeot 2008 and so on, you will soon be able to but a brand new addition to the segment, the Mazda CX-3. This is coming with a familiar design, which has KODO written all over its body, with plastic body cladding, a prominent front grille, sweptback headlights, curvaceous body work, blacked out C-pillar and so on.
The cabin of the compact crossover is carried over from the Mazda2, mostly, and it is coming with the metallic trim on the circular air vents, with gloss black accents and with the head-up display and Mazda Connect infotainment system, on more expensive models. As far as the engine lineup goes, across the ocean you will be getting the SKYACTIV-G 2.0 liter petrol burner connected to a SKYACTIV-Drive automatic transmission, while in Europe, this will be added with two 2.0L SKYACTIV-G and the brand new 1.5L SKYACTIV-D diesel, mated to a SKYACTIV-MT manual or a SKYACTIV-Drive. AWD will become available as standard. The model will go on sale next summer.
