Mercedes-Benz has brought the all-new SLS AMG Black Series to the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series has recently made its public debut over-seas during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. The supercar is based on the SLS AMG GT3 racer and it’s getting revised power steering, AMG high performance two-piece ceramic brakes, AMG adaptive Performance Suspension, modified AMG SpeedShift DCT seven-speed sports transmission, a new set of 10-spoke matte black forged alloy wheels, a wider track and a titanium exhaust system amongst others.
The all-new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series is powered by the same 6.2 liter V8 engine, found in the regular version of the supercar, which is now producing a total output of 622 HP (464 kW) and it has a peak torque of 634 Nm (468 lb-ft), achieved thanks to the improved oil and water cooling, cam shafts, new air intake and to some other tweaks. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds before reaching a top speed of 315 km/h (196 mph). The supercar is burning 13.7 L of fuel every 100 km and the CO2 emissions stop at 321 g/km. The model will enter production in mid-2013.
