The brand new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS has been officially presented to the public, in a premiere, during the 2014th edition of the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Following a few spy shots which have partially revealed it over the last few months, the brand new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS is finally here as the model in question has been officially presented to the public at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. The model in question is basically the 19th different 911 model and it will slot between the current Carrera and the GT3.
The 2015 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS has a wide body design and despite looking just like every other 911 out there, the model in question is actually easily recognizable. It is coming with the standard PASM active damper system, lowering the ride height by 10 mm and it exterior design is based on the wider body of the Carrera 4. This includes the wider wheel arches and wider track.
Besides this, the sports car is also coming with tinted headlights, with black chrome plated exhaust tailpipes, with a black trim strip on the air intake and with 20-inch wheels, amongst others. The interior design of the vehicle is bringing the Alcantara wrap on just about everything, along with the superior sport bucket seats, which should be enough to put some space between it and the other models.
As far as the engine goes, power to the new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS is being provided by a 3.8 liter six-cylinder unit, which has been rated at 430 HP. This basically means 30 HP more and a 0 to 100 km/h sprint made in 4.0 seconds for the Coupe and 4.2 seconds for the Cabrio. Both models have a top speed of 300 km/h. Prices for the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS will start from 115,195 USD for the solid roof and at 127,095 USD for the drop-top.
