The Volvo S60 Polestar has been officially presented to the public during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.
After it was officially unveiled in June earlier this year and with the model being announced for the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show not too long ago, the Volvo S60 Polestar is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker bringing it to the North American automotive event. According to the car manufacturer, the Volvo S60 Polestar is getting a high performance braking system, larger anti-roll bars, a sport-tuned suspension, 19-inch Polestar alloy wheels and a conservative body kit which will help it stand out in a crowd.
The Volvo S60 Polestar is powered by a six-cylinder engine, equipped with an upgraded air intake, with new cylinder heads, with a Garret 3171 turbocharger and with a Ferrita stainless steel exhaust system, which is producing a total output of 508 BHP (379 kW) and 424 lb-ft of torque (575 Nm). Volvo says that the S60 Polestar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph). The Volvo S60 Polestar will go against the BMW M5, the Audi RS6 and the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG.
