The North American based automaker Ford has unveiled the new generation of the Focus ST at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show.
After being officially presented at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show in September, Ford has brought its new Focus ST generation on the over-seas auto market, presenting it to the North American public at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The new generation of the hot hatch is powered by Ford Motor Company’s 2.0 liter EcoBoost four-cylinder turbo engine which is developing a total output of 247 horsepower, with a peak torque of 265 lb-ft.
Ford says that the new Focus ST generation, mated to the six-speed manual transmission, can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 6.5 seconds, with a top speed of 155 mph, which will be more than enough to get your kids to school and then have some fun with the vehicle on your way to work. The North American based automaker will announce details about the new generation of the Focus ST’s performance, fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, standard features and price close to its launch date.
The new generation of the Ford Focus ST, 2012 model year, will go on sale in the United States early next year and the high-performance version of the hot hatch will be sold on 40 markets over-seas.
