After releasing two very special editions of the A1 based on the S-Line in the United Kingdom earlier this month, the German based automaker Audi has decided to renew its lineup, with the latest model, the A1 Sportback with S-Line, presented at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show.
According to Audi, A1 Sportback has slightly different dimensions compared to the three-door A1, being 6mm wider and taller. The A1 Sportback unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show also features an S-Line package, which can also be seen in the photo gallery below. Audi says that the five-door A1 comes with a choice of six engines, three petrols and three diesels, along with the new seven-speed S tronic transmission which will be available on some variants, but coming standard for the 1.4 TFSI with 183 HP.
The Audi A1 Sportback unveiled at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show will be powered by three petrol or three diesel engines, which will come as the 1.2 TFSI with its 85 HP, 1.4 TFSI with two settings, 121 HP and 183 HP, while on the diesel side, there will be a 1.6 liter TDI with 89 HP or 104 HP, and a larger 2.0 liter TDI with its 141 HP.
Audi says that the A1 Sportback will come with a choice of 12 colors, including the Samoa Orange seen in the photos below, being exclusive for the small model. The A1 Sportback is expected to go on sale in early 2012, for a starting price of 16.950 EUR for the 1.2 TFSI engine, while the 1.6 with 89 HP will cost 19.050 EUR.
