The North American based automaker Chevrolet has recently introduced three of its hottest models yet at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show, in the form of its global mid-size sedan Malibu, the Camaro Cabrio RS and a special edition named the Camaro Hot Wheels.
Even if the Camaro droptop and the Camaro Hot Wheels are definitely two exotic figures which are giving the company a touch of exclusivity, one of the most important models to be show at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show by Chevrolet is definitely the new Malibu mid-size sedan. Originally presented earlier this year to the European audience at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, the Malibu is expected to hit the showrooms on the Old Continent in the first half of 2012, but its prices, features or performance figures will be announced close to its launch.
Chevrolet says that the European Malibu will be available with a choice of two engines, the 2.0 liter four-cylinder unit which will be developing a total output of 164 horsepower, and a larger 2.4 liter petrol unit which will generate 169 horsepower, but this is all we know about the new mid-size global sedan for now. It seems that the new Chevrolet Malibu will be assembled in South Korea, just like the Chevrolet Aveo or the little Spark.
