Volkswagen’s stand at the LA Auto Show revealed the new 2012 Vw CC, and as expected the Volkswagen Beetle R, the same car that made its world debut a few months ago in Frankfurt.
The 2013 Volkswagen CC adds new front and rear styling to better match VW’s new corporate look. Other changes for 2013 CC model include the addition of new LED detailing at the rear, adaptive bi-xenon headlights as standard, a three-seat bench replacing the two bucket seats in the rear of the cabin, the RCD 310 audio, stainless steel door sill plates, and safety head restraints with additional longitudinal adjustment for the front seats.
There are few details regarding any other changes or pricing, but we will know more in the coming weeks. More photos are below. [read more about the new 2013 VW CC]
In addition, Volkswagen presented its Beetle R Concept that was unveiled for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show last month in Germany.
While VW execs remain coy about its potential to transition from one-off to production model, unofficial sources indicate that the future continues to look brighter and brighter for the R variant.
Visually, the Beetle R Concept, painted in “Serious Grey Metallic”, offers a glimpse of what the production Beetle R might look like. [read more about the Beetle R Concept]
