The Japanese automaker has taken by storm(trooper) the Los Angeles Auto Show, revealing the latest novelties from the collaboration it has ongoing with the Lucasfilm for the world-renowned Star Wars franchise.
We’re getting the Star Wars: The Last Jedi movie this December so naturally the LA Auto Show is an auspicious time to introduce tie ins – and Nissan is making the most out of it by presenting no less than six concepts – all of them on display for the cosplay public in Los Angeles, but unfortunately none up for grabs. Instead, Nissan has opted for “a dramatic display” of „expressive designs and the famous characters and crafts from the upcoming film.” There are three Maximas, along with one Altima, Rogue, and Rogue Sport models to discuss by the public in the City of Angels, all brought to life with help from the people inside Lucasfilm.
First off, we have a menacing Altima that’s called the Special Forces TIE Fighter – while the three Maxima sedans have been awarded to Kylo Ren, his TIE Silencer, and Captain Phasma – the well-known fan-loved female character played by GoT strength figure Gwendoline Christie. Meanwhile, the Rogue Sport A-wing, as the designation suggests, is on par with the rebellion’s famous strike fighter. The Rogue is also fighting for the light side, packed with illuminating thrusters, as well as quad laser cannons integrated into the body, a reference to Poe Dameron’s X-wing fighter.
