Volvo’s idea of a full-size luxury vehicle has just been revealed at the 2011 edition of the Los Angeles Auto Show in the form of the Concept You, which is coming with some uncommon but appropriate for luxury concepts features.
After presenting it at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show in September, the Swedish based automaker has decided to bring its new Concept You on North American soil and with the Los Angeles Auto Show going on as we speak, the automotive event seemed to be the perfect place for trying to catch a reaction from the American audience. Just as it has been cheap on details at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, Volvo is continuing its “strategy” at the Los Angeles Auto Show and it’s once again keeping us in the dark when talking about powerplant, performance and so on.
“Concept You gives a good indication of what you can expect from our next large sedan. The blend of contemporary Scandinavian design, exquisite craftsmanship and intuitive technology will appeal to luxury car buyers all over the world”, as the president and CEO of Volvo Car Corporation, Stefan Jacoby, was saying at the Frankfurt Motor Show back in September.
The Swedish based automaker has been cheap on details on the vehicle filled with new technology which will be probably be used on future Volvo vehicles. As we said in the first paragraph, the You Concept is Volvo’s try to get on the luxury segment and knowing the automaker this might just happen and if it does, the new model will be an interesting choice to Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi or Jaguar.
