The Japanese automaker that enjoys a highly successful sales run in its most important market – the United States – will deliver the sleek Impreza Sedan Concept later this month during the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Subaru has decided to entice its fans and the US customer base by offering a teaser image of the upcoming vehicle that will enjoy the spotlight later this month (most likely November 19). The model will be backed by the already revealed Impreza 5-Door hatchback concept seen at home during the recent Tokyo Motor Show. Both concepts serve as a timely preview for the next generation Impreza that will debut later next year. While dubbed as a concept, the teaser depicts a sleek profile of a sedan almost ready to come out the production line – the designers have clearly emphasized one crucial aspect: dynamism. It also appears the first half of the upcoming concept will be virtually indistinguishable from the hatchback prototype and since the praying eyes of the spy photographers have already caught both on camera during testing we imagine the reveal of the new generation Impreza is not far away into the future.
Both versions will be riding on the company’s newly developed Subaru Global Platform (SGP) coming with less weight and increased dimensions. We already know the hatchback concept was 4,400 mm long, 1,880 mm wide, 1,440 mm tall and had a 2,670 mm wheelbase, meaning the sedan will mostly tinker with the first unit and aim to deliver a more spacious interior from the outgoing models.
