Russian carmaker AvtoVaz has decided to make its own copy of the Dacia Sandero which will go on sale locally sometimes next year.
The Dacia success has taken most car companies by storm and one of those companies is the famous AvtoVaz, or simply Lada to you and me. The Russian carmaker has decided to make its own version of the Sandero supermini and the images posted below are not simply fan renderings but they are the real deal. Lada is somehow related to Dacia and rather than have Renault import Sandero cars into the country, the Russian company has decided to produce its own version.
The new Lada Sandero is scheduled to enter production in 2014 and it will share some components will the Romanian made vehicle. It remains unknown for the moment what engines this model will use, but as a quick reminder, the new generation of the Dacia Sandero is coming with a 1.2L 16-valve three-cylinder unit, with 75 HP, and diesel lovers can choose the 1.5 dCi in two outputs, 75 HP and 90 HP. The new generation of the Dacia Sandero has been officially presented to the public during the 2013 Paris Motor Show, in September.
