The hardcore version of the Ferrari LaFerrari, the so-called LaFerrari XX, is rumored to lap the Ring in a sub-7 minute time.
Rumors on Ferrari starting the development of a hardcore version of its hybrid supercar, the LaFerrari, have been around for a few weeks and it seems that work on the model in question is more advanced than believed as the vehicle can allegedly lap the Ring in just 6 minutes and 35 seconds. The fastest production car on the Nurburgring is the Porsche 918 Spyder, which managed to lap the track in 6 minutes and 57 seconds, which basically means 22 seconds slower than the LaFerrari XX.
However there is a catch because the extreme Ferrari LaFerrari XX is not street legal so Porsche’s record is safe, for the moment at least. The hardcore version of the hybrid supercar has been recently spotted while being tested out on the Nurburgring and it had some special racing Plexiglas windows and some Pirelli tires. We can’t talk about its specifications yet but we do know that the production version has a total of 950 HP (708 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque from the 6.3 liter V12 engine and electric motor.
