The Italian based automaker Lamborghini is apparently planning to introduce its first ever hybrid supercar at the upcoming 2014 Paris Motor Show, which will be opening its gates next week.
Lamborghini has already announced a mysterious model for the 2014th edition of the Paris Motor Show through a teaser image and now, according to a recent report, the supercar in question is being placed into the spotlights once again. According to oami.europa.eu, the company has trademarked the Asterion name on the 15th of September, which should cover everything from vehicles to toys, to clothing and to video games.
In the Greek mythology, the Asterion is one of the names for the Minotaur, which is a creature part bull part man. This might suggest that the carmaker will be combining the traditional style of the Lamborghini with something else: a hybrid. If this turns out to be true, than the new vehicle has some serious competition from models such as the Ferrari LaFerrari, the McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918 Spyder. Whether Lamborghini will pull the wraps off its first hybrid supercar, it remains to be seen, so we will have to wait for the 2014 Paris Motor Show in order to find out more.
