The Dubai police department has just taken delivery of an impressive supercar, a Lamborghini Aventador, which will be used to fight crime in the UAE.
Over the years we have seen very expensive police cars like the Lamborghini Gallardo or the Porsche 911, which have been used around the world, but the Dubai police department has taken a step forward and got delivery of an impressive Lamborghini Aventador. This is probably the most expensive police car in the world and it’s still unclear how the purchase was funded. The Dubai police is also planning to take delivery of a fleet of Chevrolet Camaro muscle cars.
As a quick reminder, the Lamborghini Aventador is taking its power from a large 6.5 liter V12 engine which is producing a total output of 690 horsepower. The unit is mated to a seven-speed single clutch transmission, which is helping the Italian supercar to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 349 km/h (217 mph). The Lamborghini Aventador is burning an average of 17.2 liters of fuel every 100 km (13.5 mpg) and it’s emitting 398 g/km of CO2.
