A Lamborghini Aventador, which was seized by the police just earlier this month in the United Kingdom, was recently auctioned off, for “just” 218,000 GBP.
The driver of this Lamborghini Aventador probably had the shock of his life when he was stopped by the Metropolitan Police for being caught without number plates and after making a few investigations, the policemen found out that the driver wasn’t insured to take this supercar out for a spin. The owner of the Lamborghini Aventador didn’t come forward since the incident started to the police has auctioned off the Italian supercar. The price received was 218,000 GBP.
The Lamborghini Aventador is currently available in two body styles, two-door Coupe and two-door Roadster, and the model is being assembled in Sant’Agata Bolognese. The supercar has been officially unveiled a couple of years ago, during the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, as a replacement for the Murcielago. The Lamborghini Aventador is powered by a 6.5 liter V12 engine, which is producing a total output of 690 HP and 690 Nm of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h in the Italian supercar takes just 2.9 seconds and top speed stands at 370 km/h (230 mph).
