The Lamborghini Aventador Roadster might be officially presented for the first time on the 12th of November in Miami.
The Italian based automaker Lamborghini was initially planning to unveil the Aventador Roadster sometimes next year during an international motor show, but it seems that the company has changed its mind as a Teamspeed forum member has just received an invitation for the Aventador Roadster launch event. The drop-top version of the Italian supercar will be presented next Monday, on the 12th of November, in Miami, ahead of its public debut at the L.A. Auto Show.
The Aventador Roadster will most likely get the same engine under its hood as the regular Aventador coupe, the 6.5 liter V12, which is developing a total output of 690 horsepower and it’s being mated to a seven-speed single clutch transmission. The Italian automaker says that the Aventador can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and it has a top speed of 349 km/h (217 mph). According to the manufacturer, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 is burning an average of 17.2 liters of fuel every 100 km (13.5 mpg) and the supercar is emitting 398 g/km of CO2. Official details on the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster will be announced next year.
