A tire burst on a highway in Indonesia lead to a Lamborghini Aventador catching fire as the incident has attracted a lot of curious eyes.
Did you think that we will end the year with no supercar incidents related to flames? Well, honestly, so did we, but it seems that Lamborghinis still have a mind of their own as they are bursting into flames for no obvious reasons. The latest example of such an incident is coming from Jakarta, Indonesia, where an Aventador will need a makeover after a small fire started after a tire burst, on the highway. It remains unclear whether anyone was hurt, but if you have more info on the subject, please feel free to share.
The Lamborghini Aventador is powered by a 6.5 liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, which is producing a total output of 690 HP (510 kW), at 8,250 rpm, and it has a peak torque of 690 Nm (510 lb-ft), available at 5,500 rpm. The Italian supercar can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 2.9 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 217 mph (350 km/h). The Aventador has been unveiled at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show and it’s the replacement of the Murcielago.
