Lamborghini has recently unveiled the Aventador Roadster during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, in a North American premiere.
The Lamborghini Aventador Roadster has been already unveiled on the Old Continent a few months ago and, since then, the model has been launched in several markets, including Australia. But time has come for Americans to enjoy the newest supercar in the Italian automaker’s lineup, with the model making its public debut locally during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Lamborghini Aventador Roadster is expected to go on sale across the United States sometimes in 2013, but no details on its price have been announced yet.
As a quick reminder, the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster is powered by the same engine used in the Coupe, the 6.5 liter V12, which is producing the same amount of 690 HP. The engine is mated to a seven-speed automated transmission. The Lamborghini Aventador Roadster is able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3 seconds (2.9 seconds for the Coupe), before reaching a top speed of 217 mph. The supercar is getting a Stop / Start system and a cylinder deactivation system. Deliveries will start in March, 2013, worldwide.
