Lamborghini has officially announced the starting price for the range-topping Aventador SV, during the 2015 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance.
The newest addition to the Lamborghini supercar lineup is called the Aventador Super Veloce and this is a range-topping version which has been officially presented to the public during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, in a world premiere, a couple of weeks ago. But the model in question has been recently brought to the 2015 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance too, where its official starting price has been announced. According to the car manufacturer, the model in question can be yours from 493,069 USD, without the 3,495 USD destination charge or the 3,700 USD gas guzzler tax, meaning that you will have to pay half a million USD, 100,000 USD more than for the regular Aventador.
The Lamborghini Aventador SV is the spiritual successor of the Miura SV, Diablo SV and Murcielago SV and it has received aerodynamic enhancements, a 50 kg weight loss, to a total of 1,525 kg compared to the standard supercar, a 150 percent increased aerodynamic efficiency and a 170 percent increased downforce. The Lamborghini Aventador SV has a 6.5 liter naturally aspirated V12 engine under its hood, the same one as the regular Aventador, which is now rated at 750 HP (552 kW). The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes just 2.8 seconds, as the company is stating. Additional performance details on the Italian supercar are limited at this time.
