The Lamborghini Cabrera and the Cabrera Spyder have been rendered once more and the images posted below may provide us a first look into the final production versions of the supercar.
The Lamborghini Cabrera will be the official replacement of the popular Gallardo and the model in question is expected to hit the market sometimes next year. Rumors are saying that the model will get a look similar to its larger and more expensive brother, the Aventador, along with new technologies in the cabin and improved ride, handling and so on. These changes should make the supercar even more popular than the current Gallardo.
The upcoming Lamborghini Cabrera is believed to get, in its final production version, an updated variant of the current 5.2 liter V10 naturally aspirated engine, which should produce a total output of 600 HP (447 kW) and 541 Nm of torque (400 lb-ft). The total weight of the supercar should stand at less than 1,500 kg. Lamborghini will continue on the same path with the Audi R8 and the two supercars will get the same platform and underpinnings. Additional details on the new Lamborghini Cabrera are limited for the moment and will be announced soon. Maybe the company will pull a surprise on all of us and bring a prototype to the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, next month.
