The Italian based automaker Lamborghini has recently confirmed the successor of the Gallardo, which should make its way onto the market in a “short time”.
The announcement has been made by a Volkswagen Group representative, the China’s sales and marketing chief, Weiming Soh, who said, just before the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, that the replacement for the Lamborghini Gallardo will be launched in a “short time”.
“We will come out with a new Gallardo in a short time and be able to further progress with Lamborghini”, as Weiming Soh said, right before the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show.
Initial rumors are saying that the successor of the Lamborghini Gallardo will get a rear-wheel drive version later on, but a manual transmission will not be offered. Lamborghini is expected to stick to a naturally aspirated engine instead of a turbocharged variant. A hybrid version of the Lamborghini Gallardo’s successor is also in the books. The Spyder drop-top will be launched a year later. Additional details on the successor of the Lamborghini Gallardo will be announced probably over the following months, close to its debut.
