A Lamborghini Gallardo supercar has been recently bought with a total of 216 Bitcoins from a car dealership in the United States.
Several years ago, Bitcoins were pretty much worthless and in order to buy a pizza with them you had to pay at least 10,000 of them but now, with a single Bitcoin which can worth up to 40,000 USD, prepare for a supercar invasion on the streets. A Lamborghini Gallardo has been added to someone’s garage, in the United States, after he paid 216 Bitcoins for it. We’re not sure if the car dealer has sent him to the bank too, in order to exchange his Bitcoins for USD, but one thing is for sure, we’re talking about Lamborghini Newport Beach again and, who knows, maybe this is a marketing strategy.
The Lamborghini Gallardo has been in production ever since 2003 and it’s getting ready to be replaced by a new supercar. The model in question is coming in two body styles, two-door coupe and two-door spyder, with a mid-engine AWD or a mid-engine RWD, depending on the version chosen. As far as the engine lineup goes, a total of two units are being offered, a 5.0 liter V10 and a 5.2 liter V10. The LP570-4 Squadra Corse was the last edition of the Gallardo.
