The driver of this Lamborghini Gallardo has crashed the supercar on a highway in Texas and he just abandoned it after the incident.
Abandoning a car after a crash can mean that it was stolen or the driver has consumed some illegal substances, but when the abandoned ride is an exotic Italian supercar, like this Lamborghini Gallardo, more bells are ringing in policemen’s minds. According to the guys from Wrecked Exotics, the model in question has been involved in an accident in Dallas, Texas, and it was then abandoned. Our source is saying that the police is currently looking for the owner. We have no clue on how the crash occurred or if anyone was injured but if you know more about the subject, please feel free to share.
The Lamborghini Gallardo has left production in late 2013, in order to make room for its successor, the Huracan. The vehicle has been put together in Sant’Agata Bolognese since 2003 and, over the years, it has been offered in various versions, including coupe and roadster and rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, with the mid-engine layout being the same in all. The Gallardo has been using a 5.0 liter V10 or a 5.2 liter V10 under its hood, connected to a 6-speed manual transmission or to a 6-speed automated manual and it shared most of its components with the Audi R8. Its successor, the Huracan, has been shown last year in Geneva and it is using the same 5.2 liter V10, which has been upgraded.
