Lamborghini Gallardo hits pedestrians and parked cars in South Africa image

The driver of this Lamborghini Gallardo has decided to take his exotic ride for a spin under the influence of alcohol and the result was quite tragic.

Even if most of the times exotic car crashes don’t include any victims, this particular example is different because the driver of the yellow-finished Lamborghini Gallardo Spider has taken his exotic ride for a quick spin, after having a few drinks. According to Wrecked Exotics, the guy holding the wheel of the Gallardo has hit two pedestrians and some parked cars. He then got out of his car and fled the scene but happily he was caught later at a nearby hotel. The incident took place in Cape Town, South Africa.

The Lamborghini Gallardo used to be the best-selling vehicle ever to be put together in Sant’Agata Bolognese, as more than 14,000 units have been produced throughout its lifetime. The model in question has been in production since 2003 and it only left the assembly line in late 2013, when its official successor, the Huracan, came. The Gallardo has been first sketched by Italdesign Giugiaro but the final looks of it have been given by Luc Donckerwolke. The rear mid-engined and rear-wheel / all-wheel drive supercar was offered with either a 5.0 liter V10 or a 5.2 liter V10 engine, connected to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automated manual transmission and it was related to the Audi R8.
