A mysterious prototype version of the outgoing Lamborghini Gallardo has been recently spotted in Italy, where the carmaker was apparently testing this vehicle.
We are currently waiting for Lamborghini to start working on the successor of the Gallardo, which will apparently be named the Cabrera, but until this will happen, the Italian based automaker is probably developing one last version of the popular supercar. The image posted above has been taken recently in the company’s homeland and it’s showing a Gallardo with a wrapped up front fascia and side skirts, so our guess is that the modifications will be quite dramatic.
According to the guys at Supercar Team, who have managed to take some images of the mysterious model, this will be named the Gallardo Squadra Corsa, which already sounds good. This should be a facelifted version of the Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale, but it remains to be seen what the carmaker will offer for the model. A prominent rear wing, a sporty rear diffuser, revised side skirts and a new bumper are all expected to make their way onto the Gallardo in question. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment and will probably be announced over the following months.
