Flames have devoured a Lamborghini Gallardo in China in what is yet another example of spontaneous combustion.
The Lamborghini Gallardo is one of the most popular supercars ever produced but if you thought that the model is fire proof, think again. The Italian supercar pictured below has developed a mind of its own and decided to burst into flames, for no obvious reason. The good news is that no one was hurt in the unfortunate event, the bad news is that the Lamborghini Gallardo in question has been completely ruined and it will probably be transformed into beer cans.
The unfortunate even took place on Beijing’s fourth ring road last night and it seems that the fire started in the engine bay and then spread out, eating the whole supercar. The Lamborghini Gallardo has been in production ever since 2003 and it’s assembled in Sant’Agata Bolognese. The model is getting a choice of two engines, a 5.0 liter V10 and a 5.2 liter V10, along with two transmissions, a manual and an automatic, both of them with six speeds. Two body styles are also available on the Gallardo, Coupe and Spyder.
