Lamborghini Huracan dresses in green for Taxi duties in the UK image

If you’ve ever thought about cabs in Great Britain, of course the ubiquitous Black Cabs spring to mind instantly. But you might also be approached by a Verde Mantis Lamborghini Huracan if you live in Wolverhampton.

That’s because the lovely example dressed in green has just acquired a taxi license from the city’s council – meaning the ride might not be as slow as you’re used to. The model was actually in the UK performing special duties for quite some time – it belongs to Special Wedding Cars – and was used as a special appearance car for weddings, proms and other special events. Now the 202 mph Huracan is also available as a taxi in Wolverhampton. Of course, the supercar credentials enable a raging bull Sant’Agata Bolognese dressed fare – it will cost £349 (about $503 / €441) for 90 minutes. According to the company, the V10-powered machine is also the first ever supercar in United Kingdom to get a credential as a private hire cab.

Since it wears this striking green hue and has all the supercar looks it needs, most likely anyone in Wolverhampton won’t be missing the chance to identify it among the rest of taxi vehicles in the city. There’s one issue here though – aside from the obviously steep price – it has just two places and a miniscule trunk. By the way, Special Wedding Cars’ garage also includes the Galardo and the Aventador. Mentioning rivals is also easy, as they also own several Rolls-Royces, a Ferrari 488, Jaguar XJL, BMW i8, and a Bentley Continental GT.
