Lamborghini has officially released the first teaser image with the upcoming Huracan LP610-4 Super Trofeo, which will be aimed towards the track only.
Lamborghini’s newest creation is named the Huracan LP610-4 Super Trofeo and this is basically a race car which will be competing in the company’s Super Trofeo racing series starting from next year. As you can see from the teaser image posted above, the new racer will come with modifications made to its front fascia which will now provide extra cooling and more downforce. We also expect a new body kit for the rest of the supercar.
The Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo will also be allowed to compete in the 2015 season but the Huracan LP610-4 Super Trofeo will be racing in a different class. We’re not sure what the performance modifications of the new racer will be but the road-going version of the supercar will come with a 5.2 liter V12 naturally aspirated unit, which is rated at 602 HP (610 PS / 449 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque, available at 6,500 rpm. The Huracan can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.2 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph).
