The Italian exotic manufacturer is making us eagerly await the introduction of the new Huracan Performante – as they keep teasing us to things such as forged composites or Nurburgring record attempts.
We already know the Huracan Performante is taking the place of the SV version from past series, and we also know the model is debuting on a production series car the company’s forged composites – making it lighter than ever before. Now the company is back with a track-focused teaser – and it’s not your average circuit, but the famed Nurburgring. Apparently the company is setting us up for the revelation that its newest family member in the Huracan stable has delivered – on October 5, 2016 – a new record for a production car. We don’t know yet the official figure – but it’s naturally better than what the Porsche 918 Spyder achieved (6 minutes and 57 seconds).
The Huracan Performante is coming out of the shadows for an initial release on February 23, then continues on to the worldwide official introduction during the Geneva Motor Show where it will share the spotlight with another model that is attempting the same record feat – the production-ready SCG003S. Aside from increasing power and lowering weight, the Huracan Performante is also coming out with a new type of active aerodynamics and a whole series of updates compared to the regular Huracan LP 610-4.
