The recently unveiled Lamborghini Huracan has managed to sell in no less than 3, 000 units globally, in just a few months.
After it has been officially presented to the public, in a world premiere, earlier this year, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, back in March, the Lamborghini Huracan is now more popular than ever with the “raging bull” managing to sell no less than 3,000 units worldwide. According to the Italian based automaker, out of the 3,000 units sold so far, 1,000 of them are in the United States. This is also a new record for the company, which managed to sell just 2,121 cars in 2013 and held a record from 2008 when it sold 2,406 cars.
The total sales of 2014 are expected to reach 3,600 units and the newest member added to the family, the Huracan, will still play a major role in this. The Lamborghini Huracan has a completely new design, a new platform and an updated 5.2 liter V10 engine under its hood. The official successor of the Gallardo is capable of producing no less than 602 HP (449 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes just 3.2 seconds and top speed of the Italian supercar is 325 km/h (202 mph).
