A new body style of the Lamborghini Huracan, the Spyder, will be officially introduced sometimes next year, along with a new version of the model.
Ever since its introduction, Lamborghini fans have been talking about the convertible body style, but the company has kept this a secret. According to a recent report published by the guys from Autocar, the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder will be introduced sometimes next year. According to our source, the Huracan lineup will also expand with a model which will be offering rear-wheel drive exclusively. The carmaker is also planning a lighter and more extreme version of the supercar, which might wear the Superleggera moniker.
The Lamborghini Huracan has officially replaced the Gallardo and this has been presented to the public during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. It packs a 5.2 liter V10 engine under its hood, the same one used on its predecessor, but which has been upgraded and it is now good for 602 HP (449 kW) at 8,250 rpm and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft), at 6,500 rpm. The unit is connected to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, sending power to the AWD system. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint is made in 3.2 seconds before reaching a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph).
