Lamborghini is believed to introduce the Huracan Spyder during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Since McLaren is already offering the 650S Spider and Ferrari has just introduced the 488 Spider, time has come for the Sant’Agata Bolognese based carmaker to consider the introduction of a similar vehicle and since the Huracan has been around for more than a year now, it is the main contender for the title. According to a recent report, signed by GT Spirit, the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder is going to be officially presented to the public during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, which will be opening its gates next week. Our source is saying that the mysterious teaser video released recently is the best proof that this particular vehicle is in the works.
Imagining what the Lamborghini Huracan may look like in a Spyder version is not hard at all but what we don’t know at this point is whether the carmaker will offer a soft roof or a hard top for it. The supercar will be maintaining the longitudinal mid-engine and all-wheel drive layout from the Huracan Coupe (Audi R8) and it is expected to gain just a little weight, so its performance shouldn’t be that affected. Speaking about its performance you should know that the Huracan Spyder will be making use of the same 5.2 liter naturally aspirated V10 engine, producing 602 HP (449 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque. The coupe needs 3.2 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) and it can go up to 325 km/h (202 mph).
